United Way issues request for proposals

Nov. 14, 2024 (Racine, WI) — Local nonprofits interested in applying for funding from United Way of Racine County’s 2025-26 annual community investment funding cycle are required to attend the upcoming community investment meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 4.

This virtual meeting, which will start promptly at 10:30 a.m., will provide details about the community investment process and guidelines for United Way of Racine County’s 2025-26 request for proposals. Organizations new to the community investment process are encouraged to attend. Every organization that plans to apply for funding through the 2025-26 investment cycle must have at least one representative in attendance for the entire meeting.

Programs that request funding must serve Racine County residents, be able to accurately track and report program data and align with United Way’s focus areas in health, education and financial stability: increasing mental health well-being through referrals and treatment, and through prevention services; improving school performance and developing social emotional skills by fostering leadership and parental involvement; and strengthening the financial independence of individuals and families through improved employability and financial security.

"The thoughtful investment of donated funds is essential to creating lasting change in Racine County," said Ali Haigh, president and CEO of United Way of Racine County. "By strategically selecting programs to fund, we can mobilize our community to thrive. Last year, United Way and our partners served over 80,000 Racine County residents. Together, we are empowering individuals, strengthening families, and building a brighter future for all."
