Power of the Purse is celebrating its 6th anniversary! Women United is offering participants the chance to find their next statement piece or every-day accessory by browsing at our in-person event on Friday, May 3, or bidding on your favorite items from the comfort of your living room. All purchases support programs that focus on women and children through the Brighter Future Fund, making your shopping experience impactful and fun!
Bidding opens on Wednesday, May 1. Make sure to register for a Bid Beacon account and download the app ahead of the auction opening.

2. Fill in your email address and create a password.
3. Fill in your first and last name, create a display name and fill in your phone number.
4. A credit card must be on file before bidding opens.
5. Enter Access Code HU6K42.
6. Click Create Account.

Bid on auction items
The bidding process for Power of the Purse is completely virtual, even if you are attending the in-person event. To see and bid on auction items, register for a Bid Beacon account and download the app through the link above. Bid Beacon will accept bids between 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 1, and 12:30 p.m. on Friday, May 3.
Attend our in-person event on May 3
Our in-person event will take place on Friday, May 3, from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at Meadowbrook Country Club, located at 2149 N. Green Bay Road in Mount Pleasant.
Explore our auction items and participate in a cash-only wine pull, priced at $10 per bottle. Also, you can enter our raffle for a Purse Package, generously sponsored by US Bank. Tickets for the Purse Package are $20 each for a chance.
Enjoy a taco bar, beverages and dessert as you listen to presentations by Women’s Resource Center and Bethany Apartments. Gain insight into their empowering programs designed to cultivate financial independence for women.
Summer camp materials drive
Women United is hosting a collection drive for summer camp materials for their Brighter Future Fund grantee organizations. Items needed include: school supplies (crayons, markers, glue, construction paper, wet wipes and cleaning wipes, etc.) and personal items (sunscreen, lip balm, bug spray, etc.) Please bring donations to the luncheon on May 3.
