Thank you for volunteering with VITA for 2025. Below you will select your role and schedule for the upcoming tax season.
Locations, days and times for our weekly in-person, traditional sites are:
Workforce Solutions - 1717 Taylor Ave.
- Mondays 1-7pm
Racine Public Library - 75 7th St.
- 1st, 2nd and 3rd Tuesday of the month 10am-2pm (4th Tuesday 4-7pm)
- Thursdays 2-7pm (2-4pm reserved as a Spanish service site)
Burlington Public Library - 166 E. Jefferson St
- Tuesdays noon-3pm
RUSD Community Pathways Campus - 2333 Northwestern Ave
- Wednesdays 1-7pm
George Bray YMCA Branch - 924 Center St.
- Fridays 9am-noon
Case High School - 7345 Washington Ave.
- Saturdays 9am-1pm
When selecting your schedule, you may choose as little or as many shifts as you would like to cover weekly. We keep our schedule consistent from week to week to allow us to book appointments in advance. If you know you will need days off during tax season, you can list them in the scheduling form.
Please keep in mind that the following volunteer teams will have a separate schedule for you to sign up for. The days and times that volunteers will be needed vary from week to week. The virtual VITA team and Homestead team will receive additional training and resources to ensure your success. If you would only like to participate on a team and not at a weekly site, leave the site selection blank and select the team(s) that you would like to participate in.
- Virtual VITA team (Requires secure password-protected internet and a laptop or computer. Additional screens available for volunteers to borrow for tax season if needed)
- Travel Homestead team (Primarily serving Racine)
- FSA team (Primarily serving Racine)
- Drop-off team (Serving Racine and Burlington)
